A very brief history of just the monarchs
I honestly don’t think this book has much substance, it mostly focuses on the Monarchs’ lives which can be better read on Wikipedia. I would have preferred some deep dive into the Persians scientists and philosophers, architecture and art, economy and trade, military strategies and wars. Instead it was just a high level summary of the Shahs. Not a single mention of Persian scientists or philosophers that were very influential at the time.
