About this listen
In the thrilling companion to one of Book Depository’s Best Books of All Time, experience the peril and heart-stopping romance through Leila’s fresh perspective.
Leila T. Salvatíraas, Savior of Thessen and magical Queen of Her realm, is worshipped by all.
Except Her father. He wants Her dead.
The Sovereign’s Tournament - a centuries-long tradition designed to select The Savior’s husband - is days away, but Brontes’ plan to overthrow his daughter ignites, shifting the objective of the competition from marriage to murder.
With the help of Her sisters and some unexpected allies, Leila must unravel Brontes’s network and prevent Her own assassination. But as the body count rises, She learns the deception runs far deeper than She imagined.
When She finds Herself falling for one of the tournament competitors, Her father finds himself another target for murder.
Can Leila save Herself and Her beloved, or is their untimely end - and the corruption of Her realm - inevitable?
Trigger warnings: This book contains graphic violence, sexual situations, physical abuse, adult language, and references to suicide.

Really tied in with the first book
I loved this book. It answered questions I had in the first book and really helped with the character development for Leila and Tobias.
It’s not often I read this genre (usually sci-fi) but I’m so glad I did.
I’m excited for the saviours army

Best companion novel ever read
I was skeptical about reading the same story from a different perspective, but I was such a fan of TSC that I had to read TSS. The book was amazing, I couldn't put it down. But I adored the narrator for TSC and was hesitant to hear TSS with a new voice so again, I was skeptical. It was equally amazing! Everything about this companion set was impeccable. I cannot wait for TSA. Well done Ms. Moreci, and thank you.

It'll be hard to listen to any book after this one
Beautifully written. I went from swooning to laughing to crying to shock. This book gave me the full range of emotions. I literally could not stop listen. It's a long one but I binged it anyways. It was that good. Can't wait until the third book comes out!

I finished this book in less than 2 weeks.
I love this book. I couldn't stop listening. I really like Leila as a character. I was very invested in her story. The side characters are great too. However, i think the plot moves too slowly at times, especially when we already know what will happen. Nothing crazy happens but it's still worth the listen in my opinion. I'm excited for the series finale.
PS: The narrator was phenomenal. 10 out of 10.

Insane Squirrel Thoughts
I'd be interested in knowing how many times Tobias said he was sorry in this vs Layla in this book.
I definitely liked Layla more in the first book when I didn't know the timeline of her knowledge, I could understand that there were unforeseen circumstances that could be anything that justified it. When it was revealed it almost seemed forced or reversed engineered with several things that didn't feel like they made sense.
Tobias comes off weaker than the first book and it no longer feels balanced between the two mains. that balance was the key to my enjoyment of the first book.
I should go review the first one now.
