The war goes on in Norghana. The East supports the new King, while the West supports Arnold Olafstone, the legitimate heir to the crown. In the North the Wild of the Ice claim their lands. In the midst of the war, Lasgol and his teammates have graduated as Rangers.

worst in the series. what is the point?

This is setup the book. important for the next two but has no real story to itself. the whole time I was wondering when the story would start....turns out it starts in the next book. if it's your first read, you will need to know things from this book for later but honestly, might be worth just reading a synopsis and moving on.
