About this listen

Join the 27,000 people who have achieved dramatic and long-term weight loss with The Setpoint Diet, from the New York Times best-selling author of The Calorie Myth.

Your body fights to keep you within a range of about 15 pounds—also known as your "setpoint weight". New research reveals that you can lower your setpoint and end that battle for good by focusing on the quality of calories you eat, not the quantity. With The Setpoint Diet, you will reprogram your body with a 21-day plan to rev up your metabolism, eliminate inflammation, heal your hormones, repair your gut, and get your body working like that of a naturally thin person—permanently.

The Setpoint Diet is a lower-carb menu that focuses on specific anti-inflammatory whole foods, including tons of produce, nutritious proteins, and therapeutic fats. Its creator, Jonathan Bailor, founded SANESolution, a weight-loss company that has reached millions of people. Proven to help you lose weight naturally and maintain it, The Setpoint Diet is your new blueprint for healthy living.

Ruined by Narrator and too Repetitive

The subject matter of this book was quite interesting to me. However, the author suffers from too much repetition, he should have trimmed the fat and got to the meat of the content. Too many similar examples and comparisons made. It was just overkill. Great ideas and food for thought. However, it took me forever to get through this book due to the excruciatingly terrible narrator. Audible...do you not vet these guys? The narrator's choppy, unnatural and over-enunciated reading was painful to endure. His style is a combination of reading to people who just learned English, who are hard of hearing and who are children. Dude! Just read normally, ok? But, actually, narration is NOT for you. I can't even recommend this book to others because it's unbearable to listen to. Audible needs to do a much better job of vetting their narrators as this happens far too often. For people who love audio books like myself, it's a huge deterrent. And the authors lose out on sales, I'm sure because of the lack of attention paid to narrators. It's one of the most important things when you are listening to a book for hours. It has to be a pleasant experience.
