The Sick Bag Song chronicles Cave's journey with his band, the Bad Seeds, on a 22-day North American tour. Inspired by John Berryman's Dream Songs, it is an epic exploration of inspiration, creativity, loss, love and death.

A timeless piece of literature

Nick steps into the bloodstream of poetry and lets it toss and tumble him throughout the universe of the human soul. Made me feel alive. Love this man.

I Will Never Stop Listening to This

This is how an audiobook should be, not read, but expertly performed. I enjoyed the book immensely upon first reading, but it was nothing like Nick tearing and scraping over the text, mining it for whatever it is worth.

I’m not going to go into the content and themes, but if you can relate, these words are fire.

Amazing read

Fantastic insight into touring life on the road. Would have loved to seen a stop on this tour and string all the stories together.
