not your typical romance
This was quite a surprising book. I thought I would give it a chance thinking maybe it would be a slow burn full of tropes to make the story longer than necessary, but it wasn't at all. The characters are well flushed out and it goes beyond just these two women trying to be together or navigate their relationship. There is a lot of world building that makes it seem like it should be a series. I truly hope there is a second book

One of my favourites!
This is one of my favourite f/f novels that I've found on Audible. I found myself constantly drawn in by the story and characters and struggled to put it down, even if it's one of the longer books I've purchased. There's a good balance of romance, sci fi, action and politics in the book that makes it quite enjoyable.
Kyra Anderson has done a great job depicting the image of a distant future and paints a vivid picture of what it's like to be in different classes in that world. That said, my favourite element of the book is definitely the character and story of Isa.
Overall I highly recommend giving this a listen if lgbt sci fi is something you're interested in. The author narrates the book herself and actually does a decent job! (I'm sure we've all had some experiences where we wish authors had someone else narrate...)

Absolutely fantastic!!!!
Dear Kyra- if you put this in a series sign me up for pre-orders. This was one of the best sci- fi books I have listened to. The story line was excellent. Personally I think this could of been longer of a story. The narration was excellent, the story started off slow then constantly built. I would highly recommend this book to everyone. This could easily go to another book and hopefully it does.
