About this listen

Madison Montgomery comes from money and power, but when someone close to her commits the ultimate crime, Madison must live with her tainted name for the rest of her life.

When she begins Riverside Preparatory Academy, the private school her father has swept her into in The Hamptons, she hopes for a fresh start. What she wasn't hoping for was the pack of bad boys who run the school - 10, to be exact.

When Madison gains the attention of their leader, Bishop Vincent Hayes, a whole new world that she didn't think existed is exposed to her. A whole world that starts and ends with The Elite Kings' Club, and these boys are about to flip her world upside down.

Secrets are overflowing and family lies are about to be exposed. Is there more to Madison Montgomery than even she knows?

2 negatives make a positive

I listened to book 1 and 2. I can not believe this story is about high-school students. The female character's inability to find time to read a book that holds all the answers and can only read 1 chapter maybe 1 night a week while whining about not knowing anything is terribly frustrating. I'm not a gun person, but her "pro-gun" chick attitude described as a decent marksman never has a gun on her in dicey situations and when she does, she misses the opportunity to even get off a shot and is easily disarmed- not even to fore it into the air to attract attention or as a deterent?! How disappointing 😞 And omg the terribly unhealthy sexual relationships, parental relationships and " too mute to ask for help" but "so intelligent the adults look to for advice" teens 🙄 wow
Honestly I was listening to a smutty abusive dysfunctional train wreck just wanting to know what the point of the secret society was... if the 3rd book appears free and I remember my curiosity, I'll listen, but otherwise... props for a confusing set of circumstances, plots, and character development.

Not to bad

An interesting story line with a too hot teen and a lot of sub plots to throw you off the scent.

So good

This book kept me on edge. Kept me guessing what’s happening. I loved how it pulled me in from the beginning. Worth the listen.

overall this book is quite interesting and isn't your usual romance/ erotica. it has a bit of mystery in ti and the characters are quite endearing.

ONE STAR

I have ZERO clue how this book or the second have such high reviews.
I should have read the other reviewers before wasting my time.

I'm not going to list the things that bothered and annoyed me, for the sole reason that I made it to the end of the second book. (and that review is on Book 2)
BUT I will say, that if you are interested in the MC finishing the mysterious book... that doesn't happen in Book Two, despite having ample time to do so. That was the only reason I entertained listening to the second book.

Character development does not improve.

TW: rape, child abuse

Worst story

let's start with the narrating, she makes all guys sound like they are high as f*** and idiotic. let's not forget how these are teenagers and she turns the main character into a who** of life.. Teenagers.... and the plot.. makes no dam sense?? what happened to the guy who recognized her after the fast and furious chapter??? .. It was the worst book I've ever heard. gag.

Couldn’t finish the book

It’s hard to believe this is about high school kids. I found the narration made all the male characters sound like stoned idiots. It was far too much for a high school setting. And the non consenting / consenting sex scenes made me cringe. I was hoping it would have been better based on some of the reviews.
