I loved seeing into the future of dragonriders!
I became very invested in F’lessan’s developing relationship with Tai, so it mattered to me that they make it through their struggles. The presentation of the Abominators, a radical group determined to put an end to any progress and stick with tradition struck me as very timely, given the shift towards radical conservatism we are experiencing. Unfortunately, though I like the reader, I had a very different voice in my head for F’lessan and Golly, so that dampened my enjoyment a little. Overall, the book was a pleasure.

Fantastic
Jumping into the Pern series was a joy. It had been recommended to me for years. I have been listening in publication order and have enjoyed all of the books thus far. The level of world building and complexity of plot Anne McCaffrey strings together is awe inspiring. This one gave a satisfying complex story *after* the end. It used great characters and new ideas without losing the things that makes Pern great.
