After a tragic accident at work, all Grady Miller wanted was an escape. He finds it months later with two of his closest friends. Together, the three of them travel south to Prism Lake for the upcoming holiday, where they plan on spending the sunny weekend drinking, grilling, and relaxing.

Story has an interesting concept just needs a bit more detail. Enjoyed but not sure I’d buy the second book as this one left off kinda at no really end to the story. They didn’t win against the antagonist or get anywhere. It’s like a half of a book I just started to enjoy the characters and the book was done ?

Interesting premise!
Matt Godfrey was a solid narrator for this intriguing take on Stephen King’s THE MIST, re: weather anomaly and people must fend for themselves against something unknown and terrible. I look forward to further instalments.

Short and sweet!
To me the book is just the like reading his journal of past event. A group of friends trying to survive against freezing cold, no heat and no food. The narrator, Matt Godfrey is excellent and one of the best, love his voice. Love this book, I 'm already reading the next book.

Great book
I finished the book in 2 days, it was really good! I didn’t realize it was the first book in a series of 5 but only the first book is free. I’d really like to finish the series but I’m not sure I will because the books are pretty short and I don’t want to waste my credits on a book that’s that small. The books seem like they definitely should have been smushed together into 1 or 2 books instead of 5. The first one seems like it just stops mid chapter. Very good book though.

Contained horror at its best
Contained horror is my favourite kind and Flint Maxwell knows how to deliver. The story is fast and the characters are believable and relatable. I was rooting for them every step of the way. Can’t wait for the next entry! Definitely recommend!!

Had potential
Doesn't really give you much. Like a piece of the story. I'll definitely try the other books but the narration and story just dragged on.
