Publisher's Summary

This unique and fundamentally liberating book shows us that examining our attitudes toward money - earning it, spending it, and giving it away - can offer surprising insight into our lives, our values, and the essence of prosperity.

Lynne Twist, a global activist and fundraiser, has raised more than $150 million for charitable causes. Through personal stories and practical advice, she demonstrates how we can replace feelings of scarcity, guilt, and burden with experiences of sufficiency, freedom, and purpose. In this Nautilus Award-winning book, Twist shares from her own life, a journey illuminated by remarkable encounters with the richest and poorest, from the famous (Mother Teresa and the Dalai Lama) to the anonymous but unforgettable heroes of everyday life.

Important perspectives for our times

Riveting story and perspectives. Loved it. I have heard Lynne Twist in podcasts and conversations. The passion and nuanced depth of her voice was not well represented in the performance. The content however is stellar!

Great information and message.

Really loved the message of this book but the person reading it was hard to listen to for so long. Her voice wasn't overly energetic or inspiring and became boring over time. Had to really push myself to finish because of this.

You will not regret it!!!

Lynne brings an incredible perspective to the world and soul of money. She has worked with the richest and poorest people in the world, has helped folks from other cultures learn about our financial system, and has seen the power and horrors of what people can and do with their money. Her beautiful mesaging to use money as a tool to express your highest potential (your soul if you will) is built on a very powerful argument with many life experiences, including her own. Do it!!!

Very good book. It's not just about money

I enjoyed this book because it made me understand the meaning of sufficiency and provided an in depth look on how money and its many uses can make or break societies.

Enjoyed content, not narrator

Listening to this book makes me want to read it. Although the content was great, I had a difficult time connecting with the narrator.

A new perspective on the way I think about money

I loved this book to shift my perspective of money and life. Understanding that there is enough and learning to live from a place of sufficiency instead of scarcity is very freeing.
