About this listen

The agreement doesn't work.

Canada's outdated constitution was designed to serve central Canada at the expense of the West.

Efforts to reform the constitution have failed.

Independence parties and movements have come and gone without success.

The West needs to pursue independence, and independence advocates need to change their approach.

In December of 1980, The Globe and Mail described western separatism as “primitive and confused, groping for a platform and searching for a leader.” Here we are over 40 years later, and the statement is as true as ever.

The Sovereigntist's Handbook is a training manual for independence supporters. Creating a solid base of support for independence needs to be done one supporter at a time.

Advocates for independence need a guide, and this is it.

Very practical 👌🏻

The road that must be traversed for an independent west or in my case Alberta would do well to read and ponder this book. As Ben Franklin used his leaflet ‘Common Sense’ to help build the culture for an independent American mindset before the Declaration of Independence. This work could as well be the steady cultural prodding to continue the tapestry building of an independent movement for the west.

Must Read for Canadians

Cory writes from the perspective of over 20 years' involvement in Alberta politics, both as a candidate and a correspondent. Wherever you are on the spectrum of support for independence of the western Provinces (and Territories) - from absolutely not, to referendum today, please - there's something here for you. Straightforward, sensible, and compiling.
