Rare and beautiful prose, stunningly read

These stories are spare, lyrical and astoundingly beautiful. Joyce Carol Oates compared Pancake to a young Hemingway. This is no exaggeration. The stories' reader is mesmerisingly attuned to the poetry of the prose and the melancholy of the main characters. Prose and reader combine to make an unforgettable listening experience.
