Tommy Tomlinson is a five-year-old boy with a small body, a big bedroom closet and even bigger fears about what lives in the closet between the hours of midnight and five a.m. each night. Nestled in a cozy-ivy-covered cottage, Tommy lived happily with his mom, dad, brother Jeffrey and a big yellow dog named Ralph, down a country lane on the outskirts of a smallish town called Fernhill. Four days ago, a huge rainstorm hit the town. It had rained and rained, and the storm’s winds had blown hard, knocking down leaves and tree limbs near Tommy’s house. That very next night, Tommy awoke from a deep sleep to a strange, muffled, thumping sound.
This tale of rollicking adventure lovingly propels the listener on a journey through the process of overcoming fear and conveys important and heartfelt lessons along the way, including the time-honored messages of bravery and the importance of family.
