About this listen
I wished I could escape my world, but I never expected to whisked away by mysterious magic. From the moment I woke up, I've been in danger, chased by villains and monsters alike. But then I met him, and this strange new world suddenly doesn't seem so bad.
Tyler and his friends were just taking a summer road trip before college to escape the harshness of their realities. They never expected a magical book to transport them to a fantasy world full of magic, dragons, swords, and monsters. Now, split up and wandering, they find themselves slowly being changed by the world of Bramoria. When the truth comes out, it's too late to reverse the effects, and Tyler must face his friends head-on to save them from the curse of the Grimoire of Kings.
Will they make it out of Bramoria alive, or will they be trapped forever in a world doomed to die?
Warning: This epic fantasy box set contains jaw-dropping twists, dragons, sexy cat boys, sizzling romances, character growth, and a happily ever after that will leave you craving more. This book should only be heard by those who like their main characters angsty, and cat ears on their love interests!

Very Mid
The writing is not bad and the plot is fine I wish I could recommend this book but I have to say I have never read a book with such a detestable and unlikable protagonist. He is truly insufferable, horridly unlikable in almost every regard. He is selfish, cowardly, disingenuous, self righteous, hypocritical. When he is not drowning in drawn out obnoxious self pity he is blaming everyone else for his problems and lashing out at everyone around him in a gaslighting abusive manor. To be honest his “friends” are just as bad irredeemable monsters that they want you to feel sorry for but give you no reason to care. No real character growth in the second book and for any of the characters. The main character only gets more petulant and whiney. The theme and emotional beats of the story were interesting just not implemented well with the abysmal Protagonist. Book 3 it appeared that the characters were finally developing until about midway through. When the main character completely back tracks the minuscule character growth to become whimpering, simpering, self loathing waste of space. This is an okay arch if it wasn’t his character already for the last 2 1/2 books. Ugh it’s a hard read or listen purely based on the frustration of the protagonist. Not terrible just can’t ever recommend it myself maybe worth a listen on audible membership. Absolutely nothing really changes about the characters until 3/4 of the way through the third book … also the romance feels really forced and put on. none of the characters have any real chemistry.

It was okay
For me the story moved very slowly. It was predictable and safe. Nothing exciting, but an okay listen. This one is perfect for a long road or flight.
