not the worst

The story wasn't exactly breaking new ground, and the characters were not particularly realistic, but it was an entertaining enough story. The thing that really sort of ruined it for me was the narration. The narrator's voice is, in my opinion, very irritating. She was terrible at doing different characters, her accent was too cutesy for the genre, and her villain voice was just awful. The book starts with the villain talking, and I almost gave up right there, it was that bad. Listen to the preview to judge for yourself. Seriously, be smarter than me and listen to the preview first.
I wouldn't have minded the reading/listening to the next in the series, because like I said, it was entertaining enough, but I'm definitely not going to get the audiobook.
