Publisher's Summary

At the end of the 24th century, war is fought in a civilized manner: Each side hires mercenaries to engage in combat in specifically designated areas. To the victor go the spoils - whatever they may be.

After a couple of assignments involving more intrigue and skullduggery than the Cutter Force Initiative ever wanted, the unit is looking forward to being part of a straight-up, short-term industrial war on Earth.

Cutter agrees to a support role offered by an old army comrade who's now a general in a larger military force. The pay is good, the unit happy. All they have to do is basic ranger stuff: sneak and peek, shoot and scoot.

But what starts out as a corporate fight to occupy a valuable piece of contested territory quickly goes sideways, and once again Cutter and crew find themselves in the middle of situations in which things aren't as they seem, and the unit must determine the truth - or lose more than just a battle.

Good stories

Hey, they were good stories. The author has a vivid imagination. RC Bray brought the stories to life. I found these stories by following Bray. Glad I did.

There are a lot of military sci fi books. This one stands out.

The entire series so far is an absolute gas! The storyline is excellent, enough twists and turns to keep you interested. SLIGHT PLOT WARNING here. There’s some hints so you might not want to read further…….go on, read….you know you want to!
There are a couple characters that get to make some “choices” in ther interactions and the outcomes are hilarious. Even better there’s a twist thrown in. Can’t wait for the next one.

Mehhha

As usual, I’d listen to R. C. Bray read the ingredients to a box of cereal. He dose a great job giving each character personality and depth. Unfortunately the story across the whole trilogy is uninspiring and predictable. I found myself hoping for the book to be over already so I can start listening to something else. All the characters where one dimensional and lacking anything interesting.
I wouldn’t go as far as to recommend skipping this series, but it’s not for me. Maybe you will like it better.
