Excited for the next book

Great story! I’m find myself more curious about where our mc will be by the end of the book then the book itself. I wanna see where the path ends. Still really great book gonna get the next one

More intrigue than previous books

Found the start of the novel a little slow, but once it did pick up it was a lot of fun.

Definitely enjoyed the murder mystery aspect, and the change in perspective from previous books - ascending felt like it had weight.

Looking forward to the next book!

Unfortunate.

I’m a huge fan of this series. This was not a good addition. This was not a Xianxia novel. It was a poor Imitation of a murder mystery that was unbelievably predictable and highly uneventful. I knew the whole time how it would play out and nothing interesting at all happened for the majority of the novel. Highly unfortunate addition to an excellent series.
