À propos de cet audio
Robyn O'Brien is not the most likely candidate for an anti-establishment crusade. A Houston native from a conservative family, this MBA and married mother of four was not someone who gave much thought to misguided government agencies and chemicals in our food - until the day her youngest daughter had a violent allergic reaction to eggs, and everything changed. The Unhealthy Truth is both the story of how one brave woman chose to take on the system and a call to action that shows how each of us can do our part and keep our own families safe.
O'Brien turns to accredited research conducted in Europe that confirms the toxicity of America's food supply, and traces the relationship between Big Food and Big Money that has ensured that the United States is one of the only developed countries in the world to allow hidden toxins in our food - toxins that can be blamed for the alarming recent increases in allergies, ADHD, cancer, and asthma among our children.
Featuring an action plan for weaning your family off dangerous chemicals one step at a time, The Unhealthy Truth is a must-listen for every parent - and for every concerned citizen - in America today.

Very informative! Great read!
As a Mom myself and a holistic nutritionist in training I really enjoyed this book and the information Robyn shared. Some of her recommendations are a bit junior for where my family and I are on our health and food journey, but I can appreciate that not everyone is already or can afford to eat mostly organic, GMO-free, fair-trade, local, seasonal foods like we do in our house. Her research and providing of many reputable science-based sources were helpful and great for those who wish to dive in deeper and read more on their own. More research is definitely needed on some of the subjects discussed in this book, but just because the research is minimal or hasn’t been done does not mean that we should feed these things to ourselves, our animals or our kids without caution or healthy skepticism. The ongoing research that is coming out about the microbiome, the food and environmental impacts on our microbiome, as well as our overall health, in the last 5 years is showing that we do need to pay greater attention to what we put in and on our bodies.

A must for your health education!!
Awesome information! good example of courage to speak out the truth even if inconvenient. But a little sexist in delivering the information unfortunately.
