THE INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!

Starred reviews from Kirkus Reviews * Publishers Weekly * Library Journal

Named a “Must-Read” by TODAY, Us Weekly, Bustle, BuzzFeed, Goodreads, Entertainment Weekly, Publishers Weekly, Southern Living, Book Riot, Woman’s Day, The Toronto Star, and more!

For two sworn enemies, anything can happen during the Hawaiian trip of a lifetime—maybe even love—in this romantic comedy from the New York Times bestselling authors of Roomies.

Olive Torres is used to being the unlucky twin: from inexplicable mishaps to a recent layoff, her life seems to be almost comically jinxed. By contrast, her sister Ami is an eternal champion...she even managed to finance her entire wedding by winning a slew of contests. Unfortunately for Olive, the only thing worse than constant bad luck is having to spend the wedding day with the best man (and her nemesis), Ethan Thomas.

Olive braces herself for wedding hell, determined to put on a brave face, but when the entire wedding party gets food poisoning, the only people who aren’t affected are Olive and Ethan. Suddenly there’s a free honeymoon up for grabs, and Olive will be damned if Ethan gets to enjoy paradise solo.

Agreeing to a temporary truce, the pair head for Maui. After all, ten days of bliss is worth having to assume the role of loving newlyweds, right? But the weird thing is...Olive doesn’t mind playing pretend. In fact, the more she pretends to be the luckiest woman alive, the more it feels like she might be.

With Christina Lauren’s “uniquely hilarious and touching voice” (Entertainment Weekly), The Unhoneymooners is a romance for anyone who has ever felt unlucky in love.

Ok

I would recommend this for youth/very young adult. Kind of a repeat of similar/like books. Parts were funny and had me laughing.

Narration

I heard about this book after finishing “The Hating Game” I’m not really a fan of the ‘fake relationship to real relationship’ trope which is why it took me awhile to decide on trying it out, but I enjoyed this audio book a lot. I think I would of enjoyed this book more if I read it myself then listened. Cynthia Farrell was great I just didn’t like the way she made Ethan sound. He sounded like an old, frat dude. It fit Dan’s character perfectly, but it was hard to ignore it whenever Ethan would start talking. I pictured Ethan to have a much more deeper, sultry voice and I know that it would be a little difficult for a woman to portray what I wanted to head, but I just wished that he sounded a little more manly and a lot less frat boy. Overall, great audio book. Happy that I decided to try it out^^

Fun read until the end was a huge turn off

This was a fun grumpy/sunshine, enemies to lovers, read with some scenes that made me giggle out in Public. But the last conflict of the book, particularly the way it was resolved, was such a huge turn off, and honestly unforgivable.
I don’t think it was handled with the gravity it deserved, and the resolution was way too light-heartedly trope-y for me to believe it or accept it. It left such a bad taste in my mouth, and I truly don’t think the FMC should’ve ended up with the MMC.

Good read/listen!

I did really enjoy this book. The narration was good, although I would have enjoyed the dual male/female narration.

My only critique was how fast the conflict cropped up at the end. It wasn't bad, but good lord that was a stressful short period of time at the end of the book.

All in all a decent book!

Good story, hard to listen to.

This is cute story. I enjoyed it. I wish it was a different narrator. Her male voice is awful and hearing her breath through her nose is tough to listen to. The “guy’s voice” is the voice women use when mocking men.
