About this listen
Kera Watson never expected to face death behind a Los Angeles coffee shop. Not after surviving two tours lugging an M16 around the Middle East. If it wasn't for her hot Viking customer showing up too late to help, nobody would even have seen her die. In uncountable years of service to the Allfather Odin, Ludvig "Vig" Rundstrom has never seen anyone kick ass with quite as much style as Kera. He knows one way to save her life - but she might not like it. Signing up with the Crows will get Kera a new set of battle buddies: cackling, gossiping, squabbling, party-hearty women. With wings. So not the marines. But Vig can't give up on someone as special as Kera.
With a storm of oh-crap magic speeding straight for LA, survival will depend on combining their strengths: Kera's discipline, Vig's loyalty...and the Crows' sheer love of battle. Boy, are they in trouble.

Easy to listen
Really good story,
This book feature strong women. You don’t need to know your nordic mythology to enjoy the story. Each character in the book have a backstory and are not juste fillers. We see the story from different people while reading the book.
At the beginning I found it difficult to understand who was the narrator of the story when they switch of point of view but the voice actress got better at separating each character’s voice. I cannot wait to read the next one.

Great start to this serise
To me Johanna Parker will always be Sookie Stackhouse. But she did a great job with these characters. Just a few sex scenes nothing gross.
First time listening to this author and she did a great job.

interesting
it was an interesting concept with the Gods and then having their different teams of fighters or warriors, like the Crows and Ravens. I enjoyed the spice and Kera and Bugs relationship. the other characters sounded fun and interesting as well!
