Publisher's Summary

Far out on the Eastern Fringe, the realm of Ultramar stands alone. Having weathered the Word Bearers' attack on Calth and the subsequent Shadow Crusade against the Five Hundred Worlds, the Ultramarines primarch Roboute Guilliman now draws all loyalist forces to Macragge as he contemplates a new future for mankind.

With the arrival of more and more fugitives from the war that has engulfed the rest of the galaxy, all distinction between friend and foe is lost - isolated from Terra by fearsome warp storms, is Guilliman making a bid for power to rival even the renegade Warmaster Horus?

Great story!

Wonderfully performed and a great story involving several of my favourite primarchs. Well worth the time and money.

Another grand tail

a great listen, in my opinion any of these books that mention John is amazing, the twist and turn keep you plugged in and the narrator is brilliant as always.

Great read

Interesting read, a book with five Primarchs in it is rare. Some great scenes that shine more light on the Primarchs thoughts on one another.

Centred in Time and Space

Unlike other stories within the Horus Heresy, this one takes place over the course of days, largely in the same area. A comforting change of pace for a great story.

Best book since the first trilogy

Amazing book, I found it hard to turn off. It was great to see so many characters and story lines from previous books all come together!

Sangy shows up for 10 min.

Was a slowerish and plotting book which i am fine with. Thought Sanguinius was going to have more of a main role but showed up late and did little. Good primarch fights and stuff going on. john grammaricus boring as always

Meh, not Dan Abnett’s best

This felt like a very long drawn out story that could have been told in half the time.

I like Abnett but this isn’t his best work. Too much fluff regarding the perpetuals. Doesn’t do much to serve the overall plot of the HH. IMO
