About this listen

The entire Wasteland Chronicles series

No one expected Ragnarok. The miles-wide meteor fell from the sky in 2030, taking most of humanity with it. The lucky ones took refuge in the Bunkers. The unlucky ones had to deal with the meteor's aftermath...and the alien virus it unleashed.

Now, that virus is evolving, creating an army of mutants and monsters, mixing Earth genetics with something...not Earth. As humanity struggles in the wastelands of what's left, it might already be too late...

...unless a band of young heroes can rise up, and fight.

Just OKAY

For a fairly long book it had it's moments. You got to know about six main characters. I wish with these kind of books they wouldn't give such weird names to who there fighting against and for. Hard to remember who is who, make it simpler to pronounce in your mind. I don't think I would listen to it again in the next few years. Just mediocre entertainment.

What a Wild ride

7 books in 14 days. Once I started I never wanted to stop. An epic journey in small span of 3 months in the book. Love the world building and character development, with each new discovery led to the different ways I thought it would impact the ending. Ending was a little different than what I predicted, however it was wholesome and sad. Loved the series and can’t wait to see what the Xenoworld saga brings

Not bad, interesting concept

Considering it's 7 books for 1 credit I can't complain. The concept of the book was good but found at times, especially in the later books where things were repeated over and over as if every charvater had to confirm what they are doingnon the same discussion. Worth the credit if you're into post-apocalypse stories.

Feels like a script for a video game

Some passages are a bit awkward. The series reads like a script to a videogame that the studio couldn’t afford to make. A lot of parallels to Fallout but enough differences to keep it interesting. Its a world where an alien infected meteor struck the United states. Its cold and dark. Weirdly transformed Earth flora and fauna that wants to kill and eat the characters at every turn. Factions competing with each other for limited resources. It’s just missing the optional side quests and SPECIAL system.

The performance is alright. Just awkward dialogue writing.

A chore to finish

The series starts out interesting but goes downhill. I found that the characters were not fleshed out and parts of the story inconsistent. (Actions in the beginning contradicted later)
Would not recommend.
