About this listen

A seminal work of Spanish mysticism, Teresa of Avila's The Way of Perfection describes the practices and qualities of a prayerful life devoted to Christ. Although it was written over 500 years ago solely for the nuns of her convent, her devotion continues to instruct and inspire believers today.

Very Annoying Tone of Voice

I was excited to hear this book of St. Theresa of Avilla but the woman's tone is neither heavenly, nor of humility such that perhaps St. Theresa would have had in her voice and tone. It is a boastful voice that is not conducive to reflection. I just can't listen.
