Publisher's Summary

In only six weeks, Isla Ramsey is due to marry Henry Northrup, the sixth Earl of Sydney. But she remains haunted by memories of the dashing Hugh Courtney, the Marquess Pierce. The handsome aristocrat had hinted at forever and then tossed her aside, leaving Isla with few viable options. Now, as she awaits her new fiance's arrival from London, she rides her horse past Hugh's estate at Hazelwood every day, pining for a man who was never truly hers.

Hugh Courtney may have left Isla's life, but he can't erase her from his thoughts. When he rescues her from a sudden snowstorm, they are forced to take shelter together at his private estate. In such close quarters there is no escaping each other. Yet no man wants a reckless wife - or a woman promised to another. As fate draws Isla further into his world, Hugh vows to keep her out of his bedchamber. However, some vows are meant to be broken...

No disclosure of the M/M relationship. Not what I wanted.

Not sure what audience the author is writing to. I wanted a bride and a groom. A heterosexual relationship. Not a same sex relationship with two men taking up over half of the book. Luckily on audible I was able to skip all the chapters about them and only listen to the part of the story I was interested in. Not right that it was not disclosed in the title details either. The story that did interest me was good.

Was not expecting male to male romance

I was not expecting male to male romance. I expect to choose the content of the books I read. After reading the first series of related to this one I was expecting something along the same ilk.
Was disappointed to hear a male narrator. The previous narrator of the first set of books (the Somerset Sisters) (narrated by Heather Wilds) did such a great job. Excellent Scottish accent. Mr Ferguson, not so much. He also read the Duke of Huntington with a Scottish accent when in fact he was English.
