In the first book of John Christopher's classic series, it is the year 2100, and the world is controlled by the machines called Tripods. Entertaining

Fast paced story my husband remembered from his childhood and wanted to share with our children. The 12 year old (and the adults) loved it. The younger kids were a bit bored.
