Publisher's Summary
From the world-famous couple who lived alongside a three-generation wolf pack, this book of inspiration, drawn from the wild, will fascinate animal and nature lovers alike.
For six years Jim and Jamie Dutcher lived intimately with a pack of wolves, gaining their trust as no one has before. In this book the Dutchers reflect on the virtues they observed in wolf society and behavior. Each chapter exemplifies a principle, such as kindness, teamwork, playfulness, respect, curiosity, and compassion. Their heartfelt stories combine into a thought-provoking meditation on the values shared between the human and the animal world.

Inspiring
This was a wonderful listen that invokes all your emotions. The similarities between us and wolves are connected to a level that many do not expect. The female reader I loved to listen to, the male reader was ok. Overall a wonderful story of life lessons. I enjoyed this so much I will be a repeat listener.

To Hear the Howl in Unison
They lived within reach to see and be seen. They learned to understand how so like we humans, the wolf pack is a family; an extended family at that. The readers project the care of those who stayed for years, observed and learned.
Then it was time to leave the wolves with a mutual heartfelt respect. So glad I read through listening.

Atrociously too short in a good way
Not often does a book bring a tear to my eye. But that one did. Very touching and well written. I want to know everything about wolves now.

Loved it.
I have an exceptional interest and sensitivity to the Canis genus and enjoy the subject across the broad literature base. This book is not the research but an account of the researchers experience observing a wolf pack. It was both enjoyable and painful.

Well presented
I'm glad that they chose to use both male and female narrators. It added to the impact, which was already mystical and beautiful, providing a wonderful insight into the lives of these misunderstood animals.

Good Book
I'm sure it must be hard to write a book like this, but I think the way it was presented was done very well, especially when the narration was broken up and two separate perspectives were presented as being similar but different. An enjoyable and educational listen.

Profound -a must read!
What a unique opportunity to see wolves in an intimate and as close as possible to natural setting. A huge thank you to the authors for their dedication to their work and the intimate details of wolf lives that they have brought to us. It is profound and touching.
