Publisher's Summary
Don’t miss the first book in an addictive new serial novella trilogy brimming with suspense, dark humor, and romance! Meet the Youngbloods, an unforgettable family of antiheroes.
The Youngbloods are a mafia-like demon family, sent as a sinister advance team to prepare Earth for an infernal invasion. But when something goes wrong, the demon invasion never comes and the Youngbloods are stuck on crappy Earth with the worst creatures in the world—each other.
Petra Youngblood is the family’s hunter. Her job: to track and kill the annual human sacrifice that keeps the Youngbloods immortal. Otherwise, they will crumble to dust. But as Petra is hunting down this year’s sacrifice, a man named Killian Irons, she breaks the first demonic rule. The one rule so forbidding, nobody else in her family has ever dared to break it...she falls in love.

Wow, love the story and narration.
I love it! The story was well written and narrated that I had a hard time pulling myself away! Right now, I can't tell whose side I'm on, the demons or ours (humans).

4 out of 5 for sure
OK. I listen to all three books.
This first book started off really slow. I kind of fast forwarded through a few of the things.
But overall the storyline was very good.
I enjoyed the different narrators and they did a pretty good job playing all the different characters.
The reason I gave this a 4 out of 5 is because it really was very slow. And it didn’t speed up much.
It is worth finishing this book and reading the rest of the series. All I’m going to say is each book gets better and better.

Great but could be better
Full cast production would have been better. Let the voice actors carry across the chapters - no matter which character whose perspective we're hearing. Audible originals are notoriously bad for this in their books.

The story was okay; narration was great
The story was okay; narration was great. I will be listening to the second book because the story did leave in a cliffhanger.

Interesting but ridiculous
Interesting idea, but overtly driven by plot twists, plot points. Accidental stabbing could be self defense, but a second slashing of a collapsed attacker is not. Petra's reaction is the least realistic part of the series. Good characters, but the actions are illogical and poorly motivated.
