A sickness runs rampant through the world. In Portland, Oregon it is no different. As the night takes hold, eight men and women bear witness to the horror of a zombie outbreak. This Rotten World is the zombie novel that horror fans have been waiting for. Where other zombie works skip over the best part of a zombie outbreak, This Rotten World revels in it the downfall of humanity, dragging you through the beginnings of society's death, kicking and screaming.

Great take on the Z world

It was slow to start as each characters story came to life but it all comes together and now I’m glad I held out to the end. I can’t wait to start book two!

Slow to start but worth the wait!

I enjoyed this book focused on the beginning of the outbreak. I'd loved a sequel. Book is well written and narrated.

Seriously. Was this written by a 14 year old?

- Character development? None.
- Story depth? None.
- Interesting characters that make you want to learn more about them? None.
- Inconsistency in details that simple editing could correct? Plenty!

Some people compliment the fact that this presents a glimpse into the beginning of societal collapse. This such a tiny glimpse into a tiny universe, with a story complexity developed by someone I have to imagine has never left their neighbourhood, or mother's basement.

"More Yoohoo, Ma! You forgot to cut the crusts off! I'm writing a literary masterpiece down here!"

It's childish, simple minded, and boring. I actually feel dumber for having listened to what could have easily been a teen's colouring book.

Everything that had to do with Ace was ridiculous.

Random chapters about random people who play zero role in the overall story arch.

This should be marketed as a book for teens.

Do yourself and favour and get eaten by real cannibals rather than waste your money on this literary stomach virus.
