À propos de cet audio
A young man from Earth struggles to survive in a fantastical realm of blood, battles, and berserkers as the action-packed LitRPG series continues.
When young Victor Sandoval was snatched from his abuela's home and thrust into a brutal existence as a pit fighter in the land of Fanwath, it took a long time—and a heck of a lot of acquired skills and levels—to survive and become a formidable warrior with anger issues to spare. And now he seems to be right back at the bottom of the barrel.
Heaved through a portal while defeating a particularly obnoxious pyromancer, Victor and his companion, Valla, find themselves on a new planet populated by serpentines, insectoids, and giants so far beyond the pair in might and experience as to be nigh invulnerable. If the warriors are to withstand this dangerous realm, they'll have to endure countless tribulations to build up their own strength.
Once again, Victor must hack and hew his way to victory in the arena for a devious warlord, while Valla must honor an unwanted duel against a seemingly unbeatable opponent. And both will have to score more kills, collect more treasure, and face more horrors beyond their wildest imagination if they ever hope to return to Fanwath . . .
The fourth volume of the hit LitRPG adventure series—with more than 750,000 views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Love this series
I’ve enjoyed each book, I’ve really appreciated the pacing as well. You are never “stuck” in any one place or situation for too long and while reading the first book, that was probably my biggest concern early on, would it just be one thing? Would we be in a dungeon for ages? Nope. The pacing is great, and instead of being told about the world, you are shown the world. Instead of being told about the things he was doing, you experience the character actually doing them, this has the benefit of building out a world that feels truly populated, even when the MC is isolated. The lore is getting better and better as well.
This is becoming a legitimate top 5 series for me in this genre, the MC grows, throughout the series and throughout the individual books, his maturity changes, his voice changes his vocabulary changes. It was in later books I can to truly appreciate that since the author has put great effort to effect subtle but consistent change in our character.
The MC has heart, he isn’t a misanthrope either which is seriously rare in a LitRPG/Progression fantasy. There is rules to the magic system, but in a good way, the system serves to provide boundaries and structure to where the MC is at as far as magical development, but that doesn’t put strictures on his growth potential, there are elements of cultivation, and funny enough the MC doesn’t love doing it either, he’s more of a learn as you go, or learn by doing kind of a guy, and it’s an appreciated nod to other books in the genre. Yes there are spell forms and cooldowns, but they serve the story not get in the way, and it makes the magic system interesting, without getting esoteric
Perhaps what I appreciate most is that the MC isn’t just trying wave off his earthly past and only use it for fodder or examples of emotional damage. The cultivation for the MC feels like remembrance for growth and purpose. His people, his life, his Mom and Abuela and those links to his family and their importance are a big driver for his moral compass and logical progression. You aren’t dealing with a misanthrope MC who magically knows how to maneuver and use everyone…which is counter intuitive, rather he cares how people feel whee his people are concerned but can act to protect where action is necessary without going off the emotional deep-end for the next 5 chapters. It’s well done. Also there is a lot of gritty fight scenes and cooldowns moments that, again, keep the pacing pretty solid throughout. The author should be commended for that.
The narrator is top tier. His male and female voices are awesome. Very convincing. The MC’s deepening voice as he progresses is really well done…too notch work on his part.
One thing I’ll add, there hasn’t yet been one real prophecy moment yet. I can see it maybe getting there, finding out he was perhaps expected, somehow, in some future book and it will feel right if and when it happens, but this has progressed so much better than setting up an OP MC right off the bat. He may be prophetic, but they haven’t saddled the character with that kind of baggage yet, and that served the story well.
Bravo.
