Publisher's Summary

As president of the United States, Jack Ryan has faced many challenges, but none have been as personal as this, and never has he been this helpless in the face of evil in the latest entry in Tom Clancy's number one New York Times best-selling series.

Father Pat West, SJ, was a buddy of the young Jack Ryan when they were both undergraduates at Boston College. Father West left a comfortable job in the philosophy department at Georgetown to work with the poor in Indonesia. Now, he's been arrested and accused of blasphemy against Islam.

President Ryan is desperate to rescue his old friend, but he can't move officially against the Indonesians. Instead, he relies on the Campus team to find out who is framing the priest.

There's one other twist to the story. President Ryan discovers a text on his private cell phone from the priest warning about a coming attack against America....

Reads like a golden age Tom Clancy book

I am really liking the Marc Cameron books in this series. For a while there, the series was taking a politically far right wing feel to it. I was about to give up on Jack Ryan jr. if these books continued to sound like propaganda pieces. This book felt way more centrist like the old Tom Clancy books did back when he was writing them.

Like AC/DC you know what you’re getting

Pretty much a standard copy of Tom Clancy novels good what time waster. Enjoyed it. Hope that’s enough so I can post this. I don’t have to type anymore for God sakes.

Take a break from Junior

For several or more books, we've been following Jack Ryan Jr.. This time the book focuses more on Ding and it's a nice change. There are a few great twists and the possibilities of the new important character that was revealed near the end has great potential.
