About this listen

The quality movement prompted many companies to question their entire way of operating. To understand and profit from the concept of Total Quality Management, companies must pay particular attention to the first word in the phrase: total. The spectacular rewards enjoyed by top companies like 3M, FedEx, and Ben & Jerry's were earned through a total commitment to achieving superior quality and customer satisfaction across all company functions and processes. This management model is customer-driven and focuses on systems thinking—placing emphasis on patterns of change and the interrelationships among people and processes of the entire organization, how they relate to customers, and their role in a changing marketplace. This audio provides a close-up look at the world's most successful companies implemented these management tools to improve every level of the organization.

Far too outdated

Most of the examples are about 30 yrs. Old. And hold little value in today’s world.
The book was mostly about how to submit a Baldridge Award application.
Not what I was looking for.
Little to nothing on the management model - too many references to Peter Drucker - while I have great respect for Drucker, new times call for new ideas.
