Terrible writing.

I don't know how the writing went so downhill from the first novel but this was terrible. Everything was a contradiction.
I don't want to play the game/I want to become the Black,
Our love is epic/He can never love me,
I will do anything to earn her forgiveness/I refuse to say sorry,
I'm broken forever/I'm strong,
You'll never touch me again/Sex three sentences later.

I listened at 1.5 speed in hopes to get through it. Hopefully the next novel is better.
