About this listen
After the huge success of The Brooklyn Follies, Travels in the Scriptorium sees Auster return to more metaphysical territory. A dark puzzle, and a game that implicates both reader and writer alike, it is an ingenious exploration of language, responsibility, and the passage of time.

A great discovery!
I listened as this was free from Audible Plus, and I’m glad I did, because now I have discovered the author Paul Auster. I will definitely read more of his works.
This particular story, while short, was intriguing. The truth seemed just beyond the listener’s grasp, as it it was for the protagonist. I recommend it!

not the right narrator for Paul Auster
I love Paul Auster's work. I've listened to all his books that he read himself on audible and a couple by other narrator. But Dick Hill didn't do a good job on the narration. His intonations were so out of place and multiple times I had to tone down the volume cuz it was too loud but then tone it back up. It was inconsistent. It killed the job of listening. I wish I had read the book instead.
