I loved this book!!! An easy read with lots of depth! The male narrator is 10/10 👌🏻 I love a bodyguard trope.
The only negative is that I thought the timeline was too long on this book - it spans YEARS and makes it feel just a little dragged out. But otherwise, I loved Bridget and Rhys! ❤️

One of the Best Contemporary Romances!
Honestly Ana Huang’s books have yet to disappoint me. In all of the twisted series, Twisted Games is definitely my favourite. I have to say I imagined Bridget sounding a touch softer but Cindy Kay’s performance was stellar and fit the character of a modern monarch perfectly. Aiden Snow voices Rhys exactly as I imagined, if not better! Overall, I loved the book and experiencing to the story again through this audiobook just brought the characters to life and made the listening experience a lot more vivid!

Narrators wrecked it for me
Read the first book in hard copy and was excited to try the second on audible but honestly the chosen narrators ruined the book for me. I think I will re-read it in hard copy as I really like the story but just can't get past the awful expressions and imitations of the narrators. They are nothing like the characters should be, and their voices are too old.

Some weird choices
It’s okay. But why did the producers let the actors use different accents for the same character? It’s mind-boggling and such a glaring mistake. It makes it seem like no one checked in with what was being recorded at all. There is also a significant volume change between the male and female chapters; can be a bit of a jump scare.
Also, this is a series where the main characters change every book and they use the same actors for each of the books, which feels like a weird choice because all of the characters sound the same

Struggled to finish this book
I enjoyed the first 70% but then the pace was painfully slow and it nearly became a DNF. The last 10% was good as well so I’m happy to have pushed through. Female narrator did better on this book, less whispering. Male narrator was immaculate. I though the FMC was spineless and dumb for most of the book which was frustrating.

The Story Line
I love how the story line played out and how they both never gave up on trying to find ways to stay together even if the law would have forbade them to be together it still warms my heart that they are for each other 🥹
