Publisher's Summary

Quinn Darkova made a vow from the very beginning. And now she's home. For revenge...

Except N'skara isn't the same as it was ten years ago, and the person she came for is nowhere to be found. After being taken ashore by armed guards of the same Council they came to sway, Quinn knows it's up to her to uncover the truth about what really happened, while seeking the retribution owed to her.

Lazarus knew she was hiding something. He knew she had unfinished business in N'skara. But never could he have known this. He hadn't predicted how set in their ways the people were. He hadn't listened to the warnings when Quinn spoke of secrets and lies. He hadn't realized that the woman he couldn't stay away from was forged as much by blood as she was by darkness.

Now it was time to learn. In a land of sheep, it pays to be a wolf.

Contains mature themes.

Dark and Dangerous

Book three in the DARK MAJI series is far more intense than I expected. The storyline goes to some grim and mature places, yet it remains a compelling dark fantasy with ruthless anti-heroes who will not back down from getting what they want.

Quinn and Lazarus are at odds as Quinn returns home for a mysterious purpose that could affect the alliances he needs for his throne.

Not only is their relationship put to the test, but we see just how far Quinn is willing to go to get revenge. It is a lot to stomach at some points, but a mature reader should be able to handle the content. The characters are still interesting and I am intrigued to see where they go from here.

The plot is one of revenge and violence, and doesn’t have a ton of complexity. It essentially shows how far certain people can be pushed.

Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the book and am looking forward to see how the overarching plot progresses!

Wow what a ride!

This series was a pleasant suprise, I started listening to the first two because they were included in my membership, then went on to purchase the next two books with credits.

The narration is excellent, Amy is great. Her narration is why I started listening to it. Glad I continued on.

The story line is dark and delicious. Quinn is the perfect charater.

Good Series, worth the listen.
