Pre-Teen series with NO BITE!
I loved the premise of this storyline and kept listening wanting to see where the story would go, but as much as I want to find out where the story goes I cannot bring myself to listen further as I know I would become upset with myself for wasting my time. What I mean by that, is I love sci-fi and the thought of aliens being involved and Vampires in space was a huge draw, but I know this writer will not tell a good space story except to say lines like "Their F*^n space ship is awesome and gnarley" They keep touting how adult these books are because of the foul language, but even that is laughable, it's basically foul language with no bite, just a bunch of cuss words strung together to ad "humor" to the story???
The Author has a great idea for a story but it feels like reading a pre-teen story with no depth or substance, there is a little build-up to a fight scene, then in a blink of an eye, they're telling how awesome the fight was. You can tell by reading these stories that the writer is more concerned about how many books he can pump out in a year than the quality of the writing. It is blatantly obvious that there is zero research done with the books to make the details of the technology they are using or what kind of training the special ops have or kinds of weapons they use to make it a little more believable.
I would love to see someone pick up this storyline and write it properly, someone that doesn't just want to be a "Harlequin" writer that can brag about how many books they publish in a month. These books might be worth a listen if you knew before you started reading these books they were only fluff and did not expect too much from them. Also if Audible charged a maximum HALF credit for each book, they may be worth listening to
