About this listen
The wealthy Agatha Dawson is dead and there are no apparent signs of foul play. Lord Peter Wimsey, however, senses that something is amiss and he refuses to let the case rest - even without any clues or leads. Suddenly, he is faced with another murder - Agatha's maid. Can super-sleuth Wimsey find the murderer and solve the case before he becomes the killer's next victim?

Good story
Interesting plot. Some good twists. Characters assorted, very much of the time era. Would listen to again.

Good story
Of its time. Contains terrible stereotypes of racial prejudice & class system. Core story is ingenious & well performed.

Delightful!
A classic Lord Peter Whimsey mystery. Full of good plot twists and humour. Ian Carmichael performs wonderfully as he narrates. Dorothy L. Sayers is a great writer and this is a great book for anyone who is a fan of Agatha Christie style mysteries.

Excellent
Sayers is a favourite of mine, but surprisingly I hadn’t read this one. A marvellous story, so well written, and brilliantly performed. Thank you Audible..
