About this listen

A spin-off from the number one Amazon best sellers A Not So Meet Cute and So Not Meant to Be and narrated by Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter, USA Today best-selling author Meghan Quinn brings you a heartwarming yet hilarious full-length novel on what life is like after the happily ever after.

Ryot Bisley is my husband. Yes, the former third baseman for the Chicago Rebels and absolute heartthrob of the Windy City. That Ryot Bisley.

The first time I ran into him, he was grumpy, a horrific host, and left me on his sofa with nothing but a nylon baseball flag to use as a blanket.

The second time, he reluctantly bought me dinner, stared at my chest the entire night, and still sported that permanent frown.

The third time.... Well, that was a game changer. His smile captured me, his teasing charmed me, and his touches excited me.

So when he was called up to the majors that didn’t stop us from knocking it out of the park and all the way down the aisle.

Eleven years later...I’d love to say we’re happy as ever, but the man who sent me dirty text messages every day is long gone and Mr. Frowny Face is back.

He’s so focused on trying to build a life after baseball that he doesn’t see the life we’ve already created together...so I make the hard decision and serve him divorce papers.

Problem is...my husband refuses to accept those papers. Instead, he has a new game plan that makes untying the knot of our marriage a little tricky. And just when I thought I wanted to be traded...he's slowly, tantalizingly roping me back in.

My favorite Meghan Quinn book!

This is my favorite Meghan Quinn book! It was emotional, heartbreaking and even humorous at times. What do you when love isn’t enough? Told from both Ryot and Myla’s points of view, in the both the past and the present, it paints the picture of how a strong relationship then, became a marriage falling apart now. My heart broke for both of them throughout the book. Ryot felt so blindsided by the divorce papers, while Myla didn’t understand how he didn’t see it coming, which only fuelled her even more. There were many parts of the book where I was glad to be at home, because the tears would not stop flowing. Ryot’s revelations at his actions that he was previously blind too were so heartbreaking, because you knew that was truly not his intentions, but he lost sight of himself after baseball and the way his actions affected his wife. One her realizes this and set on a path to make it right, the little glimpses of the way Ryot was in the past gave Myla pause and had her rethinking the divorce. Watching them work through their issues and finally communicate about them stitched my previously broken heart back together. I so so loved this book and Jason and Stella were amazing as always!

Second Chance Romance

Meghan Quinn just destroying our hearts and putting them back together in only the way she knows how to do ❤️

Myla & Ryot have such a beautiful story and it was so refreshing to see a relationship going through trials and tribulations once they are married and what can ultimately lead to the end.

Myla has been through a lot of trauma in her life...at the hands of the people who were supposed to love her unconditionally, she is guarded and has built walls, but Ryot carefully deconstructed those walls and their love was magic...but now life has thrown them for a loop and Myla is starting to feel resentful, spiteful and fed up. She decides to take matters into her own hands and file for divorce.

Ryot retired from baseball and threw himself into another project right away. The Jock Report is thriving and life in California is going well...or so he thought until Myla serves him divorce papers. He has three weeks to figure out where it all went wrong.

I loved the past vs. present, it gave such a solid foundation to understand their relationship.

Jason Clarke & Stella Hunter narrated Meghan's words so beautifully, the emotion they can convey with their voices is magic.

Meghan keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end. Can Myla & Ryot overcome their differences? Prepare to cry your heart out.

Good story.

A lot about how a relationship can change when your not paying attention. A lot of sadness to the story with bad mother daughter relationship. Good sex in the book. Great narrators. I recommend it.

Not my favorite Quinn book

It’s the first Megan Quinn book that I can’t finish due to the main character’s total lack of maturity. I listened to half of it, and I was done. Hope the next one is better
