Publisher's Summary

When a storm wreaks havoc on bookish Lena's well-ordered world, her laid-back new neighbor, Megan, offers her a room. The trouble is they've been clashing since the day they met. How can they now live under the same roof? Making it worse is the inexplicable pull between them that seems hard to resist. A quirky romance, laced with classic British humor, about the power of opposites attracting.

Contains mature themes.

Beautiful story

I liked that thr elements of this story that weren't the standard pining for each other didn't feel like a bunch of other romance novels. I guess I am saying the elements outside the main romantic relaionship meant something. I cared about Lena's foibles, that Megan was a lovable lug with less confidence than you might first think if you met her on the street and it wasn't one of her clumsy moments, and I really liked that both had at least one friend and family member who showed up enough to feel real. My favourites were Lena's sister and the nosy neighbour, although Megan's best friend had her moments and her famioy is great. My only complaint is it needed an epilogue or follow up story from 2 years or more down the road where the nosy neighbour is acknowledged as found family and the way Lena blossoms under Megan's love has earned her at least a handful of close friends.
