About this listen
One doctor’s surprising answer to the epidemic of autoimmunity and chronic disease.
Over the past 50 years, rates of autoimmunity and chronic disease have exploded: Currently, one in two-and-a-half American children has an allergy; one in 11 has asthma; one in 13 has severe food allergies; and one in 36 has autism. While some attribute this rise to increased awareness and diagnosis, Thomas Cowan, MD, argues for a direct causal relationship to a corresponding increase in the number of vaccines American children typically receive - approximately 70 vaccine doses by age 18. The goal of these vaccines is precisely what we’re now seeing in such abundance among our chronically ill children: the provocation of immune response.
Dr. Cowan looks at emerging evidence that certain childhood illnesses are actually protective of disease later in life; examines the role of fever, the gut, and cellular fluid in immune health; argues that vaccination is an ineffective (and harmful) attempt to shortcut a complex immune response; and asserts that the medical establishment has engaged in an authoritarian argument that robs parents of informed consent. His ultimate question, from the point of view of a doctor who has decades of experience treating countless children, is what we are really doing to children when we vaccinate them.

Great non-conventional health information, but....
This book contains a lot of really good information, and he offers an alternative point of view to conventional health knowledge. I loved the book and found it quite interesting. Its a good thing he included testaments from patients that he's successfully treated. However, its a little disturbing to learn that the author Thomas Cowan was fairly recently forced to surrender his license as a physician due to his theories regarding Covid19 and electromagnetic waves (5G specifically).
That said, I still think this book is still worth reading, as long as your knowledge about human health doesn't comprise of just this book alone. Its good to hear from a former physician with an unconventional view of our health, in addition to the educated opinion of the thousands of other health experts out there that we can read about.

Articulate, Concise, indispensable!
I loved every moment of this book. It's so rare for me to feel magnetically pulled back into the pages of a book, so for this piece to draw me in with such force is a testament to the power of the teachings. Well written, concise, powerful!

autoimmune!
this was very interesting , ibhave an autoimmune myself so i really appreciate the indepth talk about autoimmune diseases and it helped me understand a lot of my own connection to my problems. He even has a very intriguing sounding treatment for autoimmune with narcan . i know weird ! the drug that treats addiction overdose. I want to try it and hoping one of my specialists are open minded to prescribing me with narcan for my autoimmune. i knew alot of the vaccine issues but it very nice to be educated on it especially when i face so many oppositional personalities towards my beliefs on it concerning my children. thank you for this book i enjoyed it the most out of all of my books . cant believe im through it already .
