Good but maybe a little redundant

I’m
Enjoying the series but kinda worried that each book will have like a murder mystery tracking down cereal killers making the books redundant. Yet I can also see why the books are going this way, if you suppress so much emotion your going to create monsters who are lacking empathy. The love stories seem to come second in the series but I’m okay with that the world building has my attention I will definitely be going onto the next book.
