About this listen
Sherlock Holmes is an unparalleled genius who uses the gift of deduction and reason to solve the most vexing of crimes.
Warlock Holmes, however, is an idiot. A good man, perhaps; a font of arcane power, certainly. But he’s brilliantly dim. Frankly, he couldn’t deduce his way out
of a paper bag. The only things he has really got going for him are the might of a thousand demons and his stalwart flatmate. Thankfully, Dr. Watson is always
there to aid him through the treacherous shoals of Victorian propriety … and save him from a gruesome death every now and again.
An imaginative, irreverent and addictive reimagining of the world’s favourite detective, Warlock Holmes retains the charm, tone and feel of the original stories
by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle while finally giving the flat at 221b Baker Street what it’s been missing for all these years: an alchemy table.
Reimagining six stories, this riotous mashup is a glorious new take on the ever-popular Sherlock Holmes myth, featuring the vampire Inspector Vladislav
Lestrade, the ogre Inspector Torg Grogsson, and Dr. Watson, the true detective at 221b. And Sherlock. A warlock.

Funniest book ever!
I have over 400 audio books in my library, and this is one of my favourite listens. Possibly the favourite. The story and the performance still make me laugh out loud after 3 listens. Imaginative and ridiculously silly, in a great way. Warlock Holmes voice is hilarious, and Dr. Watson's patience with his roommate and partner's madcap antics is commendable. Never a dull moment in this tale. Six stars if I could.

A witty parody and well worth the time.
It’s a fun bunch of stories and a creative juxtaposition to the original Sir Arthur Conan Doyle classics.

Witty dailogue. Rich world. The story is propelled forward. Some interesting fantasy elements. Solid all around.

Better than expected!
It is an entertaining set of stories with an ending that leaves you wanting more, I have never heard of this character before but it is quite an interesting take on the originals.

Too Stupid to Enjoy
The adorable puppy gets callously stepped on and killed in an off hand manner at the end of one chapter, and the first criminal carried out a great plan of revenge over a donut. It sounds funny on paper, but it's so stupid it ruined my immersion. All the characters other than Watson are painfully stupid and 2 dimensional, and it comes off less funny than it should be. If I had to sum up the book, it's "Sherlock Holmes: Rick and Morty-ified." It's just too stupid to enjoy, although there was certainly great potential in "Sherlock the Wizard and Watson the detective in monster-haunted London." What a shame.
