About this listen

Zara Riddle would do anything for her daughter. Zoey Riddle is studious and kind. She's a dream teenager who plays the harp like an angel.

Everything changes when a new boy arrives at Zoey's high school and catches her eye. Soon, Zoey is behaving in a very un-Zoey-like fashion.

What's a mother to do when her perfect teen daughter falls for the baddest boy around?

Besides gather the coven, cast a bunch of half-baked spells, and make everything much, much worse?

Disappointing

What tragedy doesn’t happen to Zara ,

These books can not seem to decide how old Zoey is . 16-17 -16 again. Ugh. I love the series its fun but the lack of congruency takes me right out of the story. Zara doesn’t seem to be able to apply her knowledge at all. She knows a lot being a librarian but when it counts she behaves like an idiot . You would think after 15 books she would have gained some wisdom. Sure it was believable in the first few as she only gained her magic then but now it is annoying and saying all this happened in 1 year is not believable either . The timeline is very all over the place and doesn’t line up with other things written in the other books before this one.
So much lost potential .
