Story
Inspired by the spirit of Henry David Thoreau—"All good things are wild and free"—mother of five Ainsley Arment founded Wild + Free. This growing online community of mothers and families want their children to receive a quality education at home by challenging their intellectual abilities and nurturing their sense of curiosity, joy, and awe—the essence of a positive childhood. The homeschool approach of past generations is gone—including the stigma of socially awkward kids, conservative clothes, and a classroom setting replicated in the home.

Story
In Free to Learn, developmental psychologist Peter Gray argues that our children, if free to pursue their own interests through play, will not only learn all they need to know but will do so with energy and passion. Children come into this world burning to learn, equipped with the curiosity, playfulness, and sociability to direct their own education. Yet we have squelched such instincts in a school model originally developed to indoctrinate, not to promote intellectual growth.

Story
David Icke has been writing books for decades warning that current events were coming. He has faced ridicule and abuse for saying that the end of human freedom was being planned, how, and by whom. The Trap is the "Rosetta Stone" of illusory reality and opens the door to freedom in its greatest sense. Listen to this book and the "world" will never look the same again. The veil of illusion shall be swept aside and the amazing truth this has kept from us shall set you free.

Publisher's Summary
John Taylor Gatto's Weapons of Mass Instruction focuses on mechanisms of traditional education which cripple imagination, discourage critical thinking, and create a false view of learning as a byproduct of rote-memorization drills. Gatto's earlier book, Dumbing Us Down, introduced the now-famous expression of the title into the common vernacular. Weapons of Mass Instruction adds another chilling metaphor to the brief against conventional schooling.
Gatto demonstrates that the harm school inflicts is rational and deliberate. The real function of pedagogy, he argues, is to render the common population manageable. To that end, young people must be conditioned to rely upon experts, to remain divided from natural alliances and to accept disconnections from their own lived experiences. They must at all costs be discouraged from developing self-reliance and independence.
Escaping this trap requires a strategy Gatto calls "open source learning" which imposes no artificial divisions between learning and life. Through this alternative approach our children can avoid being indoctrinated-only then can they achieve self-knowledge, good judgment, and courage.

If you have kids of any age this is a must listen.
If you want to produce happy, self sufficient children, brimming with creativity, a zest for learning and deep critical thinking skills - the last place they should be sent is to school. The book details the rise and ruins of modern compulsory education which from its outset was designed to manufacture unthinking, unquestioning, cogs in the wheel of consumerism. These institutions are not educational, they are training grounds designed to create obedient employees. There's a huge difference between education and indoctrination and unfortunately modern schooling only involves the latter. Only you have your children's best interests at heart which makes it your responsibility to fix.

Life-changing book
I am an educator and administrator of 20+ years.I always felt dissatisfied with schools but not until I listened to this book did I begin to understand my own feelings. I have already begun to sabotage my own practice. I think it’s only a matter of time before I am either unable or will be deemed unfit to participate in a school setting.

Should be required reading for teachers/parents!
As I embark into yr 2 of homeschooling this book solidifies sooo many reason why it's the best choice for us. Please read it, expand your mind, think critically. I was kind of surprised to hear mentions of Bills Gates and the NWO but then again not really.. these plans have been in the works long before I ever took my first breath. I recommend listening to it, the performance was 👌 I could listen to him all day! Enjoy breaking free of societies boot.
