Publisher's Summary
The 12th installment in the New York Times best-selling series asks: What if Rapunzel's mother drank a potion from the wrong flower?
Desperate to save the life of their queen and her unborn child, the good citizens of the kingdom comb the land for the all-healing Sundrop flower to cure her...but someone mistakenly picks the blossom of the Moondrop instead. This shimmering flower heals the queen, and she delivers a healthy baby girl - with hair as silver and gray as the moon. But with her mysterious hair comes dangerous magical powers: the power to hurt, not heal. For the safety of the kingdom, Rapunzel is locked away in a tower and put under the care of the powerful goodwife Mother Gothel.
For 18 years Rapunzel stays imprisoned in her tower, knowing she must protect everyone from her magical hair. When she finally decides to leave the only home she's ever known - to see the floating lights that appear on her birthday - she gets caught up in an unexpected adventure with two thieves: a would-be outlaw named Gina and Flynn Rider, a rogue on the run. Before she can reach her happy ending, Rapunzel learns that there is far more to her story, her magical hair, and her future than she ever knew.

Great narration but a slight problem
Good use of inflection to sell the characters dialogue and a fun twist on disneys version of Rapunzel but there seems to be a few chapters where the audio is cut off. May want to look into that.

Missing pages
It’s excellent but it sounds like the end of some chapters are cut off. I’m hoping this gets fixed

I couldn't have asked for a better story!
For an author and reader who enjoys Disney and fairytale, this was beyond wonderful! This is definitely a Twisted Tale and one Disney and fairy tale fans with highly enjoying! It had the feel or an old and new vibe to the original animated tale, but its own storyline was clear from the start. I wasn't reading, I was experiencing it all! I highly recommend reading this book! I look forward to reading more books of this series!

Good storyline
Sections of the book get cut out, and causes some confusion. Otherwise the story is fun to listen to.

kind of boring
If you are looking for a simple longer telling of the movie with some twists and a bit more magic, this is fine. I almost quit and returned it at the beginning though because it just isn't an imaginative premise and doesn't have a dark or spooky feel. The reader did an excellent job of recreating Rapunzel's voice. I may simply be too old for the target audience.
