About this listen
As portals between the physical and spiritual planes, the chakras offer unparalleled opportunities for growth, healing, and transformation. Anodea Judith's classic introduction to the chakra system, which has sold over 200,000 copies, has been completely updated and expanded. It includes revised chapters on relationships, evolution, and healing, and a new section on raising children with healthy chakras.
Wheels of Life takes you on a powerful journey through progressively transcendent levels of consciousness. View this ancient metaphysical system through the light of new metaphors, ranging from quantum physics to child development. Learn how to explore and balance your own chakras using poetic meditations and simple yoga movements - along with gaining spiritual wisdom, you'll experience better health, more energy, enhanced creativity, and the ability to manifest your dreams.

Love Love Love this book
I absolutely loved this book.
I have been practicing meditation for years but with this book, I was able to go to the next level and actually feel my chakras come alive. I was able to raise my kundalini energy and get into a state of higher consciousness.
What I felt was unbelievable and actually tangible I don't know how to explain this but those who have gone through such an experience can only relate.

Already on my second listen :)
Such a great explanation of the chakra systems to someone who doesn’t know much about the topic to begin with. Very detailed, and although near the end maybe a little hard to follow, I’m already on my second listen of many more to come.

Overly complicated language not for the initiate.
Hard to understand what the author is saying unless you are already well versed in sanskrit and kundalini teachings. I also just cant get over her voice and the patronizing manner in which she speaks. She really should have had someone else with a much more soothing voice narrate.

Problematic.
There’s a lot of really detailed, erudite information on the chakras, but the chapters are huge swaths of text with no labels or demarcations, so finding information again is nearly impossible. I would score the book higher but to my great surprise it finishes with a VERY PROBLEMATIC chapter on parenting that directly shames mothers (I’m not kidding) for working, who can’t/don’t want to breastfeed, or who have the TOTAL NERVE to enjoy a glass of wine whenever they want…it left a really bad taste in my mouth. Overall, I’d bet there are better books on the chakras that are clearer, more succinct, better organized, and that don’t go out of their way to shame mothers. Do not recommend.
