Publisher's Summary
Can my partner abuse me and still be a good parent? Should I stay with my partner for my children's sake? How should I talk to my children about the abuse and help them heal? Am I a bad mother?
Mothers in physically or emotionally abusive relationships ask themselves these questions every day. Whether it's physical or "just" emotional abuse, whether it's aimed at them or you, whether they see or hear it, your kids need you.
This book, the first ever of its kind, shows mothers how to:
- Protect children and help them heal emotionally
- Provide love, support, and positive role models, even in the midst of abuse
- Increase their chances of winning custody

Story
Should I Stay or Should I Go? is a survival manual, a guidebook, and a shot of reality. Some people will never change, and kissing frogs is the stuff of fairy tales, not real life. The Beast never turns out to be a nice guy (or gal). This is a book that breaks down what mean people do to us, how they do it, and what we can do to survive.

GREAT BOOK TO READ
all women need to read this book, especially if they want to help the children. this book should be made aware at counselor, women shelters,. I became aware of this book by accident. if I have read it 30 years ago I may have left the abusive partner a lot sooner. and help my kid who observe it all and now is continuing the pattern.

Love this book
I have now listened to this book 5 or 6 times in the last month. so helpful. I knew there was more I could do or learn to help my kids heal, but it wasn't until this book that I felt empowered and validated. People are often minimizing (oh maybe they won't remember? Good thing he didn't use much physical force),but that never felt good enough. This book provided me answers and tools.
