Sophie Saunders has the perfect life. Happily married to handsome Matt and expecting her first baby, she is the envy of her childhood friend, Lou.

Lou's family has splintered. Her husband is dead and her son has left home. She would give anything to turn back the clock.

But there's a secret buried deep in their past that the two friends can never forget. And when Sophie's world starts spiraling out of control, it's her new friend Roz to whom she turns.

Trouble is, secrets have a habit of unraveling. And when they do, you can kiss your perfect life goodbye.

Stigmatizing and Incorrect Mental Health Info

ECT isn’t some torture treatment designed only for people living with schizophrenia, or psychotic disorder. ECT is a treatment/tool used for people with severe depression, other mental illness and symptoms that can be detrimental in our lives. ECT has been proven to help people start to get their lives back. When film and entertainment novels try to make it out like it’s a torture device against people who are fighting against it, it runs the risk of turning people against it for the wrong reasons.

Also, it was obvious from the second the character was introduced, who was going to be the “bad guy” and what they’d do.

It was entertaining enough to finish, and had mental illness been more researched, it would have been a lot better.

What a Powerful Unusual Story!!!

WOW…Amazing book I loved every minute of it and the suspense and unexpected twists and turns were absolutely thrilling.
Wonderfully written by A.J. McDine. Never read this Author before. However, I’m so excited and I just cannot wait to read books written by A.J.McDine. Beautifully narrated by Danielle Cohen. This narrator draws you in to the story and keeps you listening.
I loved it and would highly recommend this book. Looking up more book by this brilliant Author.
Thank you very much Audible for including this book in Plus category.

Pretty good

Easy listen with twists and turns .
I found the ended fell a little flat and was a bit rushed.
But worth the listen.

Enjoyable - If Predictable - Suspense-Thriller

A J McDine pens a sufficiently entertaining, well-structured story about jealousy, long-maintained resentments, and revenge. The perpetrator was annoyingly easy to guess, but the twists & turns in the narrative are plausible, the writing quality is professional, and the nightmarish thoughts/plans from the "hiding-in-plain-sight" psychopathic villain are interspersed judiciously throughout the text - providing masterful foreshadowing that keeps the text interesting. Unfortunately, some of the ludicrous story elements overwhelm the positives (the frankly bizarre personalities of the people that 'Sophie Saunders' works with at her volunteer community garden/psychiatric outpatient program, for example).

Reader Danielle Cohen likewise turns in a "respectable" performance: above-average (given what McDine gives her to work with), but nothing that a similarly skilled professional reader couldn't demonstrate.

In toto, 'When She Finds You' was a reasonable way to spend a couple of quiet afternoons - but this 7/10-star audiobook wouldn't merit a Credit (better options beckon). It was included in the 'Plus' initiative appropriately, and I am sad to see it go.

Another story ruined by over-reliance on harmful tropes

I wanted to like this story and it had potential. But harmful tropes about mental health and mental health treatment, females motivated by romantic competition and obsession with babies, and stupid female protagonists ruined it for me. The plot was also very predictable, but the prose was well-written.
