Well written
I listened to this book in audio. This story has it all, family dysfunction, substance abuse, old secrets, betrayal, madness and a missing husband. It was well written; the reader is clear and does a beautiful job. It is not my first choice for storylines but looking at it overall. It was well written.

An entertaining thriller
This was the first book I have heard by this author. I thought it was very well written and suspenseful right up to the end. The narrators did a great job too.

Big buildup, flat finale
The storyline is decent , and the characters somewhat intriguing but the ending crawls out of the bushes. Big disappointment!

intriguing
Twists I didn't expect kept happening. I couldn't stop listening to the story. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes suspense.

Loved it!
Got this listen as a freebie and it was great. Very well developed characters and some good plot twists I didn’t see coming.
First time listening to a P.J Vernon book, and I’ll certainly search out other titles.

this book held my interest from start to finish. At some point, i thought i knew who killed paul, but it was wrong. It really kept me guessing such a surprise ending

A new favourite
I listened to this book because it was included in my subscription, and boy am I glad I took a chance on it! Thoroughly enjoyed it all the way through—great story, strong characters, great pacing, great narration! I can’t believe this is the author’s first book; joining the ranks of Harper Lee and Kathryn Stockett, they knocked it out of the park.
