About this listen

THE OVERNIGHT VIRAL SENSATION AND NATIONAL BESTSELLER

The bestselling phenomenon, When the Moon Hatched, is a fast-paced fantasy romance featuring an immersive, vibrant world with mysterious creatures, a unique magic system, and a love that blazes through the ages.

The Creators did not expect their beloved dragons to sail skyward upon their end. To curl into balls just beyond gravity’s grip, littering the sky with tombstones. With moons. They certainly did not expect them to FALL.

As an assassin for the rebellion group Fíur du Ath, Raeve’s job is to complete orders and never get caught. When a rival bounty hunter turns her world upside down, blood spills, hearts break, and Raeve finds herself imprisoned by the Guild of Nobles—a group of powerful fae who turn her into a political statement.

Crushed by the loss of his great love, Kaan Vaegor took the head of a king and donned his melted crown. Now on a tireless quest to quell the never-ebbing ache in his chest, he is lured by a clue into the capitol’s high-security prison where he stumbles upon the imprisoned Raeve....

Echoes of the past race between them.

There’s more to their story than meets the eye, but some truths are too poisonous to swallow.

""A wild ride that thrills as much as it enchants . . . This remarkable book is an instant classic.” — Thea Guanzon, New York Times bestselling author of The Hurricane Wars

When The Moon Hatched breathes new, beautiful life into the genre, as Sarah A. Parker weaves lyrical prose with undeniable chemistry. I laughed, I cried, I got everything out of this. It’s an absolutely stunning fantasy world that everyone should sink their teeth into.” — Raven Kennedy, internationally bestselling author of The Plated Prisoner series

Not bad. I enjoyed it.

It was ok. I think I'll need to listen to the last few chapters again, because I got a bit lost with the characters at the end. "The Other" was probably my favourite character.

Best book for 2024

I don’t want to give away anything about this book, however I want to make it clear that that this book is in my top 3 books ever and is for sure the best book for this year.
Is so beautiful written, the storytelling is flawless, this author not only knows how to build a world but knows how to make you feel that you want to be a part of that world. I found is pretty sad as a story but I also laugh and felt in love with the characters. Not to say probably I’ve just met the kindest character in history. Please consider reading/ listening to this book!

New and Exciting

This book was fantastic. It gives the genre something fresh and exciting to cling to. I am sadden to find out the next book will not be out until next year but I'll be trying to busy myself with other series while I wait.

The problem is the narrator, not the story

The story is amazing, I bought a physical copy of it since I cannot get over how the narrator sounds like a robot. A graphic audio of this would be great. Honestly skip the audiobook (really robotic) and just read the book.

Confusing and boarded

Honestly, love the world building aspect of story. But I spend 35 chapters trying to piece who is who together. I know the next part is intentional the fmc being naive. ( she just want to live in her bubble and it madness for how long it take for that bubble to pop) . I feel this book is overrated

Book is thrilling. Audio narration is extremely robotic and disappointing.

The narrators for this book may as well have been robots. If you find repetitive speech patterns difficult to listen to: read the physical copy of this book

Not as good as the hype

Honestly I saw so many raving reviews about this book I thought I would love it but nope.

It took me forever to get into it, there’s a bit of an information dump and it can take a little while getting used to everything.

I still get a little confused when they talk about different moon cycles, like days, weeks, months or years. Because of this I never fully understand how old the lead protagonist is or the gap of time she has missing in her memory.

The world seems cool, the love story is cute enough. The inner dialogue gets really annoying.

I felt like the book didn’t really get interesting until the last couple chapters….
So now we will have to wait for the next book or give up on the series now 🤷‍♀️

Dragons and love and brutality

This book is sooo good. Shocked me when most books don’t, magical, beautiful, heartbreaking. I couldn’t put it down and will absolutely be reading it again while I not so patiently wait for book two!

Interesting writing style

If you enjoy poetry you will love the writing style of this book. Unfortunately, I prefer clear and concise writing and faster paced stories. Alliterations and metaphors are great for adding emphasis but when everything is emphasized, nothing is emphasized. It’s an interesting story with some cool world building. I will probably still pick up the second installment of this series when it comes out.
